Professional sworn translation services

Sworn translations are public and official documents drafted by a sworn translator or interpreter who is accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation.

The sworn translator or interpreter signs and stamps the translation, officially certifying that their translation faithfully conveys all of the information in the original document. If it does not bear the translator’s signature and stamp, it is not a sworn translation.

A translation by a Ministry-accredited sworn translator does not require further authentication before being presented to any public authority in Spain. However, on occasions the original document may need to be authenticated or bear the Hague Apostille.

If in doubt, you are always welcome to ask our team. We will do our utmost to advise you and tell you what additional steps are required in such cases, before we undertake the sworn translation. Do not feel overwhelmed; we deal with these issues on a daily basis and know how to go about them.

Sale and purchase deeds, prenuptial agreements, academic records, judgements, official statements, medical certificates and all kinds of notarial deeds generally require sworn translation.
